I thought it would be fun to reflect on the past year and highlight a few of the inspiring moments.
The first highlight would definately have to be the safe arrival of our second son, Daxton Arlo. I knew he was going to be big the whole time I was pregnant, and sure enough he arrived at a large 8lbs 7.6oz. Cooper has been very welcoming of his little brother and I am grateful for that.
Secondly, we survived our first round of terrible two's. I'm a little disappointed, they weren't too terrible. I hear the 3's may be a little more challenging, but we're ready!
Thirdly, the passing of Jeremy's grandmother. She wasn't called Grandma though, she was "nanny." She was an amazing lady. I learned the most about her after she passed. I regret not taking more time talking with her and getting to know her. She loved my boys unconditionally, she always had some kind of treat for Cooper when he would go visit...usually almond joys or mounds or popcorn or something sugar free :)
Finally, We are now a forever family! That is the most inspiring part of 2008 for me. It's something I always wanted since I was a little girl up through my teenage years and into college. I love singing the primary song, "I Love to See the Temple" with Cooper. I hope he always remembers something from the day we were sealed. I always knew we would make it to the temple.
